Mini-Grant Name: A Year of Learning
Abstract: "A Year of Learning" provides enrichment throughout the year for students in all grades. Many will focus on kindergarten, others will be school-wide. These experiences include hands-on learning from the Houston Zoo's "Critter Coverage" and "Bugs on Wheels." Rhyme comes alive with a visit from Mother Goose. We will explore apples, pumpkins and foods from each food group. The entire school will watch science come alive in the Museum's Discovery Dome and the Mobile Dairy Classroom. We will celebrate reading on Dr. Seuss's birthday with a visit from the Cat in the Hat and guest readers from our community.
